THE FIRST APPEARANCE BEFORE AN AUDIENCE . . . . Little "Bobby" White performs the
four tricks his father taught him before an audience of fifty members and their
guests at the Dallas Magic Circle Christmas Party in 1945.

Master "Bobby" White is doing a card trick for professional entertainer
Russell Swann from New York City. The occasion was the first annual Texas
Association of Magicians Convention in 1947.
At the 1997 Texas Convention, no longer known as "Bobby", the fifty seven year old Bob White had the unique distinction of being the youngest magician to attended both the first and the fiftieth T.A.O.M. Convention. |

A PUBLICITY PHOTO FROM THE MID 60'S . . . .
"Ed Hogan, host of Dialing for Dollars, and Magician, Bob White co-host the new program Junior Auction. It is a
thirty minute live broadcast for children every Saturday morning from the WFAA-TV Studio at Northpark in Dallas".
In addition to banquets and private parties while attending college, Bob and his magic were featured every Saturday morning before a live studio audience of children. Junior Auction was sponsored by Neuhoff Packing Company and Formost Diary Products and was on the air for two seasons. |
| VIEWING HOUDINI'S MAGIC . . . .
In 1968, Bob White and Dr. B.J. Dolenz went to Holyoke, Massachusetts to examine the largest single collection of
Houdini's magic. The Radner Collection included the well known Water Torture Chamber shown in the
photograph.
Later, the famous Water Torture Chamber was temporarily loaned to the Houdini Museum located at Niagara Falls. In May of 1995, it was completely destroyed in an all consuming fire. Today, only the hardware remains. |

A TRADE SHOW APPERANCE . . . . Bob White is using his magic to gather a large crowd to the booth of a manufacture of building products at the Home Builders Show at the Dallas Convention Center in the 1970's. |
| AND, HERE IS A BABY CHICKEN . . . . While doing the Egyptian Cups & Balls, Mr. White produced baby chicks from under the cups at a corporate Christmas party at the River Crest Country Club in Fort Worth. He was engaged by the Neiman Marcus party consultants to entertain their corporate client with his close up magic. | ![]() |

IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE LAST CARD GO . . . . Mr. White is performing his version of the classic card trick, Cards Up The Sleeve. He did a highly visible fifteen minute act with simple props from his pockets when he was the opening act for June Valli. June was one of the stars of television's Lucky Strike Hit Parade during the 50's and a very popular night club act thereafter. |
| ANOTHER OPENING ACT . . . . Following the appearance with June Valli, Billy Daniel, the singer who popularized the song That Old Black Magic, used Mr. White and his magic for his opening act when he was appearing with the Ran Wilde orchestra. | ![]() |

YOUNG LADY, SEE IF THOSE RINGS WILL COME APART . . . . Mr. White is doing the famous Chinese Linking Rings under the close scrutiny of a charming young lady at a debutante party at the Dallas Country Club. In nearly every instance, he enlists participation from members of his audience to freely examine the props he uses. |
| HELLA TEMPLE SHRINE PARTY . . . . This attractive group of ladies and gentlemen are enjoying Mr. White's tricks at a party for the Hella Temple Motor Patrol at one of the Dallas hotels. Following the appearance for this group, Mr. White was engaged to perform for the ladies luncheon at the Shriner's Convention when it was held in Dallas, Texas. | ![]() |

I CAN'T DO IT ANY SLOWER . . . . These beautiful young ladies watch Mr. White's hands intensely, but they see nothing out of the ordinary. There is an old saying, "The closer you watch, the less you see". There is more truth to that statement than there is fiction. |

While performing at a private party at the City Club in downtown Dallas, Mr. White sits at his green felt covered table and looks this beautiful young lady squarely in the eyes and says, "Now, I want you to watch as closely as you can because I am going to disprove the old theory that the hand is quicker than the eye. I am going to do everything very slowly". |
